Vision
Harmonious Devon is a space for me to express my journey as an artist and to encourage connection and collaboration with kindred spirits.
Musician

Primarily a vocalist, but multi-instrumentalist and producer. Music has given me the chance to express my art in prisons, care homes, schools, scout groups, churches and many other settings. My music journey started as a toddler, banging away on our piano and guitar at home that my father and uncles used to play. At school my parents sent me for classical piano and singing lessons. At 17 I studied Gospel music at a C.F.N.I. Dallas Texas where Kevin Jonas (Papa Jonas of the Jonas brothers) was the music Director of Music. Here I had the opportunity to travel all over the U.S.A. as part of the gospel group ‘Living Praise’. He also had the opportunity to be apart of many professional recordings doing vocals. Robin also has experience providing private music lessons. Presently my focus is no trying different styles and genres, so I am mainly recording covers that I feel a connection to and that express what I’m feeling. I have a small studio where I experiment with Guitar, keyboard, percussion sampling and looping using mainly hardware and physically playing the instruments myself. Hopefully this Summer I hope to have a decent set of original sounding covers to perform. I will catch the buss, and busk all over Devon and just see where the wind blows.
Nature
I spent almost 20 years pursuing a career in Horticulture, in Essex, Chelmsford. Writtle College was where I received my formal training, obtaining a degree in Landscape and Amenity Horticulture. I then worked as a self-employed gardener for mainly domestic gardens but some commercial gardens where I had the opportunity to experience my different styles and sizes of gardens for clients with a vast range of needs. I also taught special needs adults horticulture for two years. Over the years I continued to develop my knowledge by taking small specialized courses in basic carpentry, tree surgery, and other specialized skills relating to managing a garden wholistically. Now I find myself in Devon, without a van and all the tools I collected over the years, managing my little allotment.
