Lest we forget.

‘Forget me not’ growing wild on the allotment.
Tulips flowering, daffodils coming to an end. Muscari blue splashes.

The Harmonious Devon Blog helps me to remember where I have come from, appreciate the present, be open to the future. My allotment was overgrown, and the structures needed repair. Now I am beginning to literally enjoy the fruits of my labor. It’s easy to look at some of the more established allotments and make unrealistic expectations for mine.

I hold on to the joy I feel once I’ve completed the task of creating paths, grass seeding them. My wildlife pond does not leak and the seedlings are fast emerging in the repaired glasshouse. There will come times when I will want to give up, maybe I’m forced to give up.

Seedlings starting to emerge.

Yoga sessions the last few weeks have introduced me to exercising my toes, something I have never thought of. My no-neurotypical brains repetitive thoughts are given a break. It’s peaceful, and I’m challenged to keep my heart open to new challenges on my allotment and my music.

Potatoes are in the ground now and the the wildlife pond is starting to fill up with plants donated by fellow allotment holder.
